Awards
CKST celebrates the accomplishments of every swimmer throughout the season. At our year‑end banquet, we also recognize a select group of athletes with special awards that highlight exceptional dedication, performance, leadership, and character.
Iron Man Award:
Awarded to those swimmers who have legally completed every eligible event in their age group.
All-State Award:
Awarded to those swimmers who have qualified for State in all eligible events in their age-group.
Towel Awards:
Brown Owl: This award is dedicated to Bobby Brown, a former swimmer and team coach known for his ultra competitive spirit, love of fun, and zest for life. Bobby was passionate about swimming and dedicated to teaching and coaching. This award is presented to a swimmer who is WISE beyond their years - someone dedicated to the team, always striving to improve, and who brings the same energy and joy to the pool that Bobby did.
Shining Star: Traditionally awarded to a 9 - 12-year-old swimmer. This athlete shows exceptional talent, strong work ethic, and dedication. They are a role model to their peers and shine brightly both in personality and performance. They truly are a SHINING STAR in the water.
Silver Manatee: Traditionally awarded to a 13 - 14-year-old swimmer. This swimmer is a leader and mentor within their age group and beyond. They encourage teammates, maintain a positive attitude, and consistently show up ready to work toward their goals.
Blue Dolphin: Traditionally awarded to a 15 - 18-year-old swimmer. This swimmer exemplifies what it means to be a Columbine Knolls Blue Dolphin. This athlete is a true team leader - passionate about the sport, resilient in the face of mistakes, and an inspiration to others through their effort, attitude and commitment.
