CKST Families,

If you can believe it, we are nearly half way through the season already, and I am so impressed by what we have seen so far in such a short period of time. Swimmers, keep up the great work. 

With the halfway point comes the week of Ken Caryl Invitational and Gator Open. As a reminder, KCI is a meet that has qualification times needed to participate in individual events. Gator Open is for swimmers who did not meet any KCI qualification times.

The KCI is hosted at the Ken Caryl ranch pool, and is a great opportunity to swim against a few teams not in the South Jeffco league, who we swim against each week. We have now opened the registration for KCI events online, which is the easiest way to see if your swimmer has already qualified. If you see an open check mark after declaring attendance, that event is eligible to swim. If you know what you want to swim already, please jump in early and register. We have to submit our entries Sunday afternoon, so the earlier we can get the most entries done before hand, the smoother the process will go. I have attached the qualification times to this email for reference. KCI does have relays, which are open to any team that has at least one KCI qualified swimmer. What this means is it is possible that your swimmer may get the chance to participate, even if they didn't meet the individual qualification times. Because of this wrinkle, we ask that declarations are made for everyone so we can build the relays. If you are planning to be out of town or unavailable, please indicate that online. This meet is one which CKST pays per event (covered by CKST), so please be sure to swim if you sign up. We will have timer needs, but when and how many will be based on the number of our entries. We will also need help getting pop up tents to and from the pool.  These shift do not count toward PPF requirements.
