Important CKST Updates and Reminders
CKST Families,
The season starts next month! Whoa! I am getting ever more excited to see summer again and be back at the pool. To get ready for the season, there are a few reminders and important notes we want to share.
First, thank you to everyone who has registered already. We have met the registration numbers from last year and we expect a few more registrants before the season starts. For anyone who is yet to register (older swimmers I'm looking at you), please don't hesitate. We will be holding off charging any bank accounts until the season starts if that is a concern. Registering will help us a great deal in our planning of the season.
Next, the parent meeting is being held earlier than we have in the past, and will be April 17th at 6:00 pm at the Columbine Library. We will be reviewing general season expectations, scheduling, and league information. We will be paperless at the meeting, so be sure to bring an electronic device to access the handbook.
A reminder, the team store will be closing its first (and possibly only depending on interest) order window on April 20th. Be sure to check out the gear for all ages here. Team suits are also available. We have updated the pattern. Remember that team branded suits are not required, though racing suits are best (no baggy shorts for boys, no two piece for girls). Remember that all registered swimmers get a team T shirt with their registration.
Anyone interested in being an official for the season or wanting a refresher, training will be May 6th at the Grant Ranch Clubhouse at 5:30 pm. I have attached the stroke protocol information which it was asked that you print and bring to the training. This is a high need again this year, and while we are only hosting 2 home meets this season, this volunteer role will help meet your PPF requirements and help to ensure our meets run smoothly. If you are interested but can't attend that time, please let us know and we will find a way to make sure you get trained.
A reminder for anyone currently swimming with a USA Swimming club, the last day to participate in any practices or meets with that team is May 15th to be able to compete in ALL meets this year. If you practice or compete with them after that date you are not eligible to swim in the Ken Caryl Invite, League, or State meets, though dual/tri meets are still acceptable.
Lastly, for if you are searching for the schedule for weekend and vacation planning, it can be found here.
Thanks everyone. GO BLUE DOLPHINS!!!
