CKST - Week of 5/26

CKST Families,

We are heading to our first meet Saturday which means we will start to get in the rhythm of the week.  We ask that swimmers are signed up for their events by Tuesday night so we can make confirmations and tie up lose ends on Wednesday if needed.  Please sign up through the app/website for their events.  Each swimmer can sign up for no more than 3 individual races, and can indicate their availability for relays.  If you need to leave early for any reason, please note that in the sign up and relay availability.  If you plan on not attending, please indicate that as well so we don't track you down thinking we are missing your entries.   The coaches will make every accommodation to meet the swimmers' requests, but some events have registration limits (IM, 400s, relays) and so on occasion other events will need to be selected.  The coaches will communicate that to the swimmer if it arises.

Volunteer shifts available for this meet.  For set up shift, we may have the opportunity to do much of the set up Friday night.  If you sign up for that shift, we will be in communication regarding scheduling.  Sign up similar to event sign up through the website.

Friday night during practice we will have an inaugural Chalk The Block pep rally.  See attached for times and details.  Bring your own chalk or borrow some of ours, but be ready to encourage CKST swimmers as they arrive at the meet Saturday.  During this time, we will also be having a parent social event to get to know other parents, ask questions about the season/meet,  and just get to know each other better.  It's been a long winter and we are looking forward to reconnecting with our summer friends.  Feel free to bring your own refreshments of all kinds, just no glass please.

We have a Spirit Dinner Night Wednesday at Qdoba at 8246 W Bowles Ave.  Be sure to mention you are with CKST and a portion of your sale will be donated back to the team.

Lastly, I was informed that a swimmer had some jewelry went missing which was in their shoe Wednesday.  They were rings, one had a wave on it and the other had a turtle with a gem in it.  If anyone happens to have them, they can be returned no questions asked to the front desk.

Thanks everyone,

CKST Board
