KCI, G.O. Results and 4th of July Info

CKST Families,

Excellent work this last week at both the Ken Caryl Invite and Gator Open.  

Gator Open Highlights:

The CKST swimmers delivered strong performances at the Gator Open, with several podium finishes and personal bests:

  • Ben Figgins (6) was a standout, winning 1st place in the Boys 6 & Under 25m Freestyle (27.99) and 25m Backstroke (29.65).
  • Annie Nealon (5) impressed with 3rd place in Girls 6 & Under 25m Freestyle (30.33) and a solid backstroke swim (43.76).
  • Eli Nealon (10) took 2nd in the Boys 9-10 50m Freestyle (45.41) and 1st in the 50m Butterfly (58.35).
  • Henry Dickinson (10) placed 1st in the 50m Freestyle (44.76) and 50m Backstroke (59.87).
  • Chandler Preston (13) claimed 1st in the Boys 13-18 50m Freestyle (35.75) and the 100m Breaststroke (1:48.48).
  • Martin Isabelle (10) placed 2nd in the Girls 9-10 50m Butterfly (1:04.52) and 1st in the 200m Freestyle (3:43.06).
  • Tyler Masenheimer (13) earned 1st in the Girls 13-18 100m Breaststroke (1:09.19) and 2nd in the 200m IM (4:00.15).

Ken Caryl Invite Highlights:

  • Quentin Taylor (14) placed 2nd in the 400m Freestyle (5:23.88), earning a State Qualifying Time!
  • Julianne McClish (14) took 5th in the 200m Medley Relay and had a strong individual showing in the 400m and 200m Freestyle.
  • Brianne Kohler (13) grabbed 8th in the 50m Free and helped power relays to top-6 finishes.
  • Riley Woodbury (15) earned valuable points in the 400m Free and multiple relays.
  • Quentin Taylor also placed 2nd in the 100m Breaststroke and 5th in the 50m Free, both strong State-qualifying swims.
  • Girls 13-14 Free Relay (McClish, Todd, Root, Kohler) placed 6th overall.

    • (There are some technical issues that are preventing KCI times from being pushed to the website.  KCI is aware and working on a resolution shortly)

    Fourth of July Practice Schedule and Celebration

    There will be regular practice time Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning.  Thursday night practice is canceled so everyone can enjoy the fireworks at Clement Park.

    Friday the 4th, we will have our annual 4th of July celebration.  All families arrive at 7:00 a.m.  We will have games, relays and a pot luck.  Parents are encouraged to bring a suit to join in a relay against the kids.  Sign up for what you would like to bring using the sign up genius link below.  NO GLASS DISHES PLEASE!!!

    No swim meet this week, so take Saturday to rest up for the final push of the season.
