CKST League Championship Highlights – July 19, 2025

Columbine Knolls wrapped up an exciting week at the Gold League Championship meet with strong swims across all age groups and several standout achievements!

🏅 State Qualifiers
The following are a few swimmers who achieved qualifying times for the Jim Fernald Memorial State Meet:

• Quentin Taylor (14) – Qualified in 100m Breaststroke and 400m Freestyle
• Riley Woodbury (15) – Qualified in the 100m Backstroke, 200m Freestyle
• Brianne Kohler (13) – Qualified in the 100m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle
• Teegan Hartman (8) – Qualified in the 100m Freestyle
• Kendall, Langois (10) - Qualified in the 50m Backstroke
• Augustine McCoy (8) - Qualified in the 25m Breaststroke

🏆 High Point Awards
Congratulations to our High Point Award winners for their outstanding performances across multiple events:

• Quentin Taylor (14) – High Point Winner, 1st in multiple events and state-qualifier
• Elizabeth Cottrell (13) – High Point Winner, double state-qualifier

👏 CKST placed 4th overall out of 7 teams with a combined score of 1,503 points, showing great team depth and spirit.

 Silver League Championship Meet on July 18th! 

Several of our CKST swimmers showed incredible improvement, dropping major time from their entry seed and finishing the season on a high note.

Here are a few standout time drops from the meet:

 Eliana Stutzman (8) – Dropped 1.58 seconds in 25m freestyle and 0.81 seconds in 25m backstroke.
 Adie Esquivel (8) – Cut 5.68 seconds off her 25m backstroke and 8.8 seconds in 25m breaststroke!
 Maija Osterbrock (10) – Dropped over 7 seconds in 50m freestyle and 8 seconds in 50m backstroke.
 Daniel Wagner (8) – Improved by 1.69 seconds in 25m freestyle.
James Wagner (6) – Took off 6.69 seconds in 25m backstroke and dropped 4.78 seconds in 25m breaststroke.
 Audrey Puchrik (11) – Cut 2.05 seconds in 50m freestyle.
Jack Dickinson (6) – Shaved off 3.72 seconds in 25m backstroke.
 Graham Stutzman (6) – Improved by 3.3 seconds in 25m backstroke.
 Jane McCoy (5) – Dropped a whopping 18.23 seconds in 25m freestyle and 4.75 seconds in 25m backstroke.
 Payton Prawlucki (5) – Cut 17.85 seconds in 25m freestyle and 3.4 seconds in 25m backstroke.
 Gemma Leins (5) – Dropped 2.83 seconds in 25m backstroke.
 Matteo Mejia (5) – Improved by 12.94 seconds in 25m freestyle.

These swimmers showed incredible determination and grit—congratulations to them and all our CKST competitors for finishing the season strong!

Banquet Reminder - Tuesday at 6:00 at the pool.  If you ordered a meal, you will check in and get your meal at 5:30 so we can start on time.

State Meet Swimmers - The coaches are working on finalizing relays, and those who may be asked to participate in relays will hear from them shortly.  Anyone who qualified for less than 3 individual events, the coaches have opted to sign the swimmer up for those events.  If for any reason they can not swim, please be sure to notify them immediately to adjust.  This meet we pay per entry so we want to make sure our numbers are accurate.  If your swimmer has more that 3 events they qualified in, you will need to pick the events TONIGHT (Sunday).
